Independence Day: Kwara Central Senator Tasks Nigerians on Unity, Patriotism

As Nigeria marks its 65th Independence Anniversary, the Senator representing Kwara Central, Saliu Mustapha, has called on citizens to embrace unity and rekindle their patriotic spirit for the collective progress of the nation.

In his congratulatory message on Wednesday, Senator Mustapha described Independence Day as a moment of reflection on the sacrifices of Nigeria’s founding fathers and the resilience of its people in the face of adversity.

He noted that the nation has every reason to thank God after 65 years of independence from colonial rule, insisting that the country’s brightest days lie ahead.

Senator Mustapha, who chairs the Senate Committee on Agriculture, said that the theme of this year’s celebration, “All Hands on Deck for a Greater Nigeria,” aptly captures the need for national solidarity and the active participation of all Nigerians in building a stronger and more prosperous country.

The lawmaker commended Nigerians for their steadfastness in the face of challenges, urging them to keep hope alive, as ongoing efforts to reposition the country are expected to yield positive results.

He also praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his leadership and efforts to strengthen democracy, stabilize the economy, and address the nation’s security challenges. .

Senator Mustapha congratulated Nigerians on the Independence celebration and encouraged them to continue showing resilience, patriotism, and faith in the nation’s democratic journey.
